The 154th Regional Service Committee meeting of the Central Atlantic Region of Narcotics Anonymous will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12 noon (note the later start time) at the University of Virginia Main Hospital, 1215 Lee Street, Charlottesville, VA (map).

Parking is available in the Lee Street Parking Garage. From there, go into the main entrance, meeting space is just left of the Cafeteria.

The “Wednesday 12 noon: Triumph Over Tragedy” listing is not an actual meeting. Please take a few minutes and cross out this listing on your home group’s meeting lists.

Conference Agenda Report

The Blue Ridge Area will host a Conference Agenda Report (CAR) workshop on Saturday, March 3, 2012 (flyer). The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Valley Mission, 1513 W. Beverley St., Staunton, VA (map).

The workshop will cover the items to be addressed at the upcoming GSR (Group Service Representative) Assembly and World Service Conference and will be facilitated by the Regional Delegate Team of the Central Atlantic Region of Narcotics Anonymous. It is the second of four workshops to be held in each of the region’s four quadrants. Quadrant 2 includes the Blue Ridge, Almost Heaven, Gateway to Freedom, Piedmont and Shenandoah Valley areas.

Narcotics Anonymous World Services conducts a membership survey every two years, in conjunction with the World Convention. The original deadline – December 31, 2011 – has been extended.

 The new deadline is February 10, 2012. This will allow an additional opportunity to those who may not have had a chance to complete the survey or forgot about it.

The NA membership survey provides an assessment of Narcotics Anonymous, including a realistic picture of NA for professionals who treat addicts.

A New Year’s Eve NA meeting, dinner and dance will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Valley Mission, 1513 W. Beverly St., Staunton, VA (map).

The meeting, “Out with the Old, In with the New,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. Following the meeting, there will be a potluck dinner, karaoke and dancing, cornhole tournament and clean-time countdown to welcome the new year (flyer).

Fellowship begins at 7 p.m., followed by a speaker meeting at 8 p.m.

Refreshments will be provided. Anyone is welcome to bring sodas, chips, finger food, etc.
